Hi-Vis Rigger Work Pants, Shirts and High-Cut Boots for Crane and Load Work

Rigging work happens around cranes and elevated loads, where visibility to crane operators and resistance to sling and chain abrasion both matter as much as comfort. You need certified hi-vis, reinforced fabric at the thigh, and boots built for climbing and standing on uneven surfaces.

Rigger Workwear FAQs

Why do riggers need more abrasion resistance at the thigh specifically?

Constant contact with chains, shackles and slings while positioning a load concentrates wear at the thigh and hip in a way that's less pronounced in most other trades, since that's where equipment is carried and handled during rigging.

Do FXD work boots include metatarsal protection against dropped loads?

No current FXD boot includes dedicated metatarsal guarding. The composite toe cap covers direct toe impact, but riggers working around suspended loads should check for metatarsal-specific footwear separately if that risk applies to the job.

Does the elasticated waist on the rigger pant work properly under fall-arrest gear?

Yes, that's specifically why it's built that way. The WP.12's elasticated waist accommodates the additional bulk of fall-arrest or rigging equipment worn over the pant, rather than binding or riding up the way a rigid waistband would under a loaded rig.
